Daily Good Stuff 10

Ok I have to get this out of the way. This video for me is one of the greatest videos of all time. It never gets old. Have you heard of the grape stomping lady? Type it in on YouTube. Anyway, it’s oh so popular and just wonderful. Enjoy!

Alright so on to the rest of the good stuff. Here’s a joke:

There was a Minister whose wife was expecting a baby. The Minister went to the congregation and asked for a raise. After much consideration and discussion, they passed a rule that when the Minister’s family expanded, so would his pay check.

After five or six children, this started to get expensive. The congregation decided to hold a meeting again to discuss the Minister’s pay situation. You can imagine there was much yelling and bickering. Finally, the Minister got up and spoke to the crowd, “Having children is an act of God!”

In the back of the room, a little old man with a full beard stood up, and in his frail voice said… “Snow and Rain are also ‘acts of God’, but when we get too much, we wear rubbers!”

And a lovely image:

We gotta do what we gotta do. In weird news, a teen gets arrested for saying “Bingo!” in a bingo hall. By him yelling it, it actually stopped the game, if only for a few moments as people tried to figure out what in the heck happened. He faced 90 days in jail but instead was ordered to not say the word bingo for 6 months as well as keeping his distance from bingo halls.

In good news, a 9 year old boy taught a woman CPR to save her baby while his friend waited on the ambulance. These kids are heroes. Kids. Our future. *tear rolls down face*.

And a quote for the road: The friend is the man who knows all about you, and still likes you.  ~Elbert Hubbard

And that goes with family too. Despite our shortcomings, we are loved. And, for a mini sermon, it’s the same with God. God loves, or I guess likes us even with the knowledge of some of our…not so good moments in life.
