Daily Good Stuff 38

The weekend! You made it! Pat yourself on the back and enjoy the stuff I have ready for you. We have more heroes emerge from the Boston Marathon bombings, texting on the highway, fails, and so much more! Let’s jump on a video:

Yeah here’s some words for you:

If there is no struggle, there is no progress- Frederick Douglass
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Romans 12:16
A joke perhaps? Liiiiike…this one:

There was this little kid who had a bad habit of sucking his thumb. His mother finally told him that if he didn’t stop sucking his thumb, he’d get fat.

Two weeks later, his mother had her friends over for a game of bridge. The boy points to an obviously pregnant woman and says, “Ah, ha! I know what you’ve been doing!”

Yeah…here’s the latest news out there:
A group of 10 year old girls decided they wanted to raise money to help out the family of the boy that was killed in the Boston Marathon bombings. They sold lemonade and cookies (yum!) and their goal was to hit $100 but were surprised to get $3,000 from people who would “not even take a cookie“. As a person who has been teaching and around kids for 8 years now, I have to say I love when this happens and it’s their own idea. Kids. You have to love them.
The times are changing! Looks like if you love texting and driving, it will all be too easy! Coming soon to a highway near you, “text-only lanes”. While it does cost $460 billion, it’s believed that a special tax will be able to cover costs. Here’s a photo from the article to give you an idea of how this would work:

Yeah see, the tax would be on those little roadside crosses and flowers. Anyway, I can’t wait to see these on the roads!
Alright have a good one!
