Another day for good stuff. Are you ready? Please say that you are. Either way, it’s happening so might as well accept it. We have trouble with school, a kind cop, some “twisted” weather, and more! Kick this thang off with a joke:
One day, Bill and Tom went to a restaurant for dinner. As soon as the waiter took out two steaks, Bill quickly picked out the bigger steak for himself. Tom wasn’t happy about that: “When are you going to learn to be polite?” Bill: “If you had the chance to pick first, which one would you pick?” Tom: “The smaller piece, of course.”
Bill: “What are you whining about then? The smaller piece is what you want, right?”
Yeah that’s just great. Everybody wins…except for:
Yeah it’s my last week in the semester so I’m feeling this right now. But hey, things get better:
Older people shouldn’t eat health food, they need all the preservatives they can get- Robert Orben
“But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.” Luke 6:27-28
Yessir! What about the latest news?
A police officer responded to a report of a little girl’s bike being stolen. So he did what any decent cop would do: Showed up with a new bike and taught her how to ride it. What? Not all cops do that? Well then this guy is special, huh?
In a freak of nature, a tornado hit a Mississippi town in a clockwise motion which led to the town being repaired. Thousands were with power and many homes were modernized. An example from a witness:
Tornadoes in the Northern Hemisphere tend to spin counter-clockwise, but meteorologists say clockwise tornadoes, while rare, can strike with incredible constructive power. Lifelong resident Charlise Petty learned that all too well as the twister struck at 5 a.m.
“I heard it coming, got into my rusty bathtub, pulled an old mattress over my head and prayed,” said Petty, 62. “The sound was incredible. I could hear my house being literally mantled. When it was over, I was sitting in a master bathroom with heated tiles and a rainforest showerhead.”
Hoo boy! We could use something like that where I am. More details here.
Here’s a cool video that a lot of students, such as myself, can relate to:
Yeah well I’m off to cut the grass (and if you read my allergies post earlier, you’d be praying for me). Later!
