Daily Good Stuff 41

As you can see, I’m not labeling each day. This is day 41. All previous posts are labeled. That way, for you and for me, it’ll be a little easier to find a DGS post that you like. Anyway, let’s get this terrific Tuesday off on the right foot with a joke:

After the Great Britain Beer Festival, in London, all the brewery presidents decided to go out for a beer.

The guy from Corona sits down and says, “Hey Senor, I would like the world’s best beer, a Corona.” The bartender dusts off a bottle from the shelf and gives it to him. The guy from Budweiser says, “I’d like the best beer in the world, give me ‘The King Of Beers’, a Budweiser.” The bartender gives him one. The guy from Coors says, “I’d like the only beer made with Rocky Mountain spring water, give me a Coors.” He gets it. The guy from Guinness sits down and says, “Give me a Coke.” The bartender is a little taken aback, but gives him what he ordered.

The other brewery presidents look over at him and ask “Why aren’t you drinking a Guinness?” and the Guinness president replies, “Well, I figured if you guys aren’t drinking beer, neither would I.”

Of course! And now this:

You hate going to the bathroom in the middle of the night because you have to turn on the light? Well, with this toilet seat, you shouldn’t have that problem anymore! Yes, a toilet seat that glows in the dark. Sit on that while you’re thinking about modern day not very useful technology!

A country recovering from bombings AKA the United States has resumed life of normalcy as we continue to shoot ourselves.

“After 9/11, people said America would never be the same, but we showed them,” he said. “We went right on shooting each other as if the terrorists’ attempts to unite us had never happened.”

In fact, in 2001, there were more than 29,000 guns deaths in the United States. In 2002, there were more than 30,000.

“That’s the kind of spirit we need to harness again,” said Koladem. “And I know that we will. We’re Americans. We’ll get through this, and at the end of the day, we will emerge stronger, better, and shootier than ever before.”

Yes, we’re a proud country.

Well I don’t oversleep but yeah I wake up. Can’t stand it!

The things that we love tell us what we are. Thomas Aquinas

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time– 1 Peter 1:3-5

Alright y’all have a good one.
