So yesterday we had a kid themed post. Today, it’s old people! Everybody say “yay!” So, what’s the first thing we got? A joke!
An elderly couple had been experiencing declining memories, so they decided to take a power memory class where one is taught to remember things by association.
A few days after the class, the old man was outside talking with his neighbor about how much the class helped him.
“What was the name of the Instructor?” asked the neighbor.
“Oh, ummmm, let’s see,” the old man pondered. “You know that flower, you know, the one that smells really nice but has those prickly thorns, what’s that flower’s name?”
“A rose?” asked the neighbor.
“Yes, that’s it,” replied the old man. He then turned toward his house and shouted, “Hey, Rose, what’s the name of the Instructor we took the memory class from?”
Yeah. And images to keep the ball rolling:
First, it’s not “momma said knock you out!” it’s “grandpa done knocked you out!”
And then we have the future of old people:
Yeah I think we can agree that this is a strong and very likely possibility.
Retired is being twice tired, I’ve thought. First tired of working, then tired of not. ~Richard Armour
A 105 year old woman gives the secret to her long life: eat bacon. Yes, this woman claimed that eating a couple of strips of bacon a day is key. As a kid she ate bacon. But wait, it gets better. Oscar Mayer heard about her, and…well…
“Pearl is a bit of a local celebrity in her town in Texas, and after we heard of her eating a lot of bacon and giving it to all her kids, we decided it would be a good idea to surprise her with the Wienermobile,’’ an Oscar Mayer spokesperson told TODAY.com. “On site we presented her with a big cooler full of bacon, and we made the tacit promise that whenever she wants bacon moving forward, we’re there to provide it for her.’’
Yup, a lifetime supply of bacon as well as a trip in the Wienermobile. Also, she’s a very active woman and her doctor doesn’t seem to have a problem with her eating all that bacon. As for her bacon, “It’s got to be crispy”.
Cool, well Sunday is Mother’s Day and you already know the Daily Good Stuff post is going to be mother themed so get your mom on the computer and have a good time.
