Wednesday Word, Monday Motivation, and Good News Friday

I’ve been struggling with the recent Good Friday play at my church. As I continue to lick my wounds, I realized that I need to get back on the blogging horse.

For one day only, I present a post containing your Wednesday Word, Monday Motivation, and Good News Friday. These are the flagship posts here at DALANEL.

Even though the site hasn’t seen a new post in a week, the views have been really good, which kinda means that this blog is capable of sustaining itself even with my lack of posting. This blog has timeless content that brings people in no matter what current events are going on. That’s cool.

Anyway, let’s start with a video as we hit Wednesday Word first.

That was me in the video, in case you didn’t pick that up. No comments because commenting on myself is weird right now.

Next, some motivation:

Sometimes, we need to move on. Let go of the past. Don’t let the trials of your past define you. Yes, you grow from these experiences. But, instead of dwelling on the past, look to the future.

Step out and change the course. “That’s just how it is”. Sometimes, that’s a lie. Be the change. Go and shake things up. A lot of great minds were laughed at until past their death. Then, people realize where they were coming from. A phrase for that is “Ahead of his time”. Be ahead of your time. Not everybody can make the large impact as others, but, a small impact can impact something else and then so on and whatever.

Go, and mix it up.

Okay, time for some good news.

A man is doing his best to fight homelessness. One project is “Second Wind Cottages”:

Carmen didn’t initially set out to end homelessness in Ithaca, New York. He simply set out to befriend a few men. As for helping them, his approach was unconventional. Believing that everyone wants to do something useful, Carmen invited the men to do volunteer work for others. Many responded, eventually contributing hundreds of hours.

Eventually Carmen helped every person in the encampment to find a place to live. He parked six campers on his own property so the men could live in dignity.

Cool stuff, bro.

That’s all folks. Don’t even think about this as a daily feature. I’m not there…yet.
