The Optimistic Report: Women Can Drive

The Optimistic Report. I go around the internet and share a favorite story of mine from the leaders in positive news making. So far, I have three spots: Good News Network, Sunny Skyz, and Positive News. Check out those sites, subscribe where you can, and just make your day better.

I will also share some humor within the report, too. I just have to have humor.

First article is from Sunny Skyz. A police officer decided to do what apparently no one else could: celebrate a kid’s birthday.

See, the child’s parents were both in jail and nobody else was listed to be able to pick up the child. So, when Officer Robinson arrived on the scene and met with the child, he decided to treat the child (yes, he’s nameless in the story) to a birthday lunch.

Next, we have some progress. Women in Saudi Arabia are allowed to drive as a ban was lifted.

The country was the last to hold such a ban. To be clear, this ban was against women being able to drive independantly of anyone. They can now obtain a driver’s lisence and all of that.

At this point, the country is still restictive on women’s rights, but things are slowly getting better. Let’s keep it moving and pick up the pace!

We wrap things up with this nice story from the Good News Network. A woman was a victim of domestic abuse. It was bad enough that her teeth ended up getting damaged. Yeah.

So, while she was getting her wisdom tooth pulled, the dentist decided to fix her broken tooth free of charge. There is video in the link should you wish to watch.
