OMG, OMG, OMG!

Let’s start this celebration month with a new look! Just look at this sexy thing:

Wow, that’s quite a change from the previous stuff I’ve used, right? Right! So, let me break this thang down.

First of all, the font looks a little more fun, right? Lighthearted stuff right here. It’s silly. Excited. All of that stuff. I wanted something that better matched the vibe of the blog, so that was a good option for me.

Next, the two colors. Now, in the years of me doing lighting design, I’ve studied color psychology and the idea that colors represent something. Well, in my experience and research, I found that Rose and Orange both have meanings of “optimistic”. There were other colors that give an optimistic vibe, but these two colors go nicely together. So, I stuck with those. And, for those of you that are into the Hex codes and RGB coordinates:

• Rose: #FF007F, 255,0,127
• Orange: #FF7F00, 255,127,0

Anyway, that’s the new logo. Also, I got logos for the newsletter, site icon, and Optimistic Report. Check them out:

So now, anything related to the blog will have a better uniform look. A signature look, if you will. Welp, that’s day one. There will be surprise announcements throughout the month as we celebrate this blog’s birth. I’m all happy and junk.
