Some rules we should go over. As a reader, you have the opportunity to comment on each post. I ask you comment in respectable manner. The following will NOT be tolerated:

• Name calling
• Disrespecting others’ beliefs and comments
• Commenting only to promote your site/business
• Keep the language clean. No cussing (I am open about this and using this language will not automatically result in trouble; keep it to a minimum though; I want this site to be kid friendly)

Cannot stress the respecting others’ beliefs. You don’t have to accept a person’s belief in order to respect and/or understand this belief. You should comment like this: Instead of “Are you crazy? Global warming is not a factor” it should be “I don’t think global warming would be a factor. It’s more of X, Y, Z.” Something like that. Everybody has a voice.

My commenting strategy is as follows: I hold your first ever comment for moderation. After that, comments can come freely. I don’t want to have to check each comment because somebody is abusing the rules I have in place consistently.

If you don’t like it, well, I guess I’ll have to delete/block you. I understand if some of my posts may hit a nerve (but that’s rarely my intention) but just as I keep my posts civil, I would expect you to comment on civil terms. Thanks and enjoy the site!
