Daily Good Stuff 173

It’s Tuesday, and you know what that means. Well, I hope you do because I don’t. Hm? Oh, right, let’s get to the post.

When God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work — this is a gift of God. Ecclesiastes 5:19

Good advice is always certain to be ignored, but that’s no reason not to give it. Agatha Christie

Alright, here’s a comic you’ll love:

Story of my horror/comedy movie life. And now, as you’ll remember in my earlier post from today, there’s no videos at the moment. So, we’ll go on to the joke next:

Quick DALANEL updates

I just run a couple of things by ya. For one thing, WordPress has finally added Google+ to publicize so my DALANEL posts will show up there. I’ve been there since close to the beginning of the social media site but I prefer using the convenience of publicize to automatically link my post there instead of having to copy paste multiple times. So, you can truly follow DALANEL now on Google+. My following there is small but hopefully it starts to grow now.

My computer is to the point where it can no longer play videos. Despite having the most recent flash, it still takes 10 minutes to play a 3 minute video. No thanks. Because of this, until my situation improves, there will be no more videos on Daily Good Stuff.

Lastly, I’m going to upload a video soon describing DALANEL. It will be on the “What Is DALANEL” page.

Just some small behind the scenes stuff. Keep it here at DALANEL and follow the blog/me.

Daily Good Stuff 172

How was your weekend? Mines went fine. But, it’s Monday and you need something to get you started for the day. Let’s get right to it.

If music be the food of love, play on. William Shakespeare

Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58

And here’s a little demotivational to motivate you…

Weekly News 4

Things have been crazy in Egypt. It’s to the point where Egyptian officials have detained a bird…because it’s no ordinary bird. It’s a spy! You need to read the article to understand what happens next.

In good news, one of the sources I use to find good news, Good News Network, is celebrating its 16th birthday. I just want to give a big thanks for all that they do. They helped inspire me to do this blog (although I had been doing this before I stumbled upon the site). Make sure you support GNN!

This guy has 6,000 barbie dolls. A man. With a pink room. Of Barbie dolls. What more do you need to know? I don’t know…I guess it’s better than collecting Ken dolls…? I don’t know.

I love stories like this. Okay, so a police officer ended up in some trouble while trying to make an arrest. So this homeless guy steps in to help. The police for now is his personal guard. I mean, like, they keep an eye on him that he always has shelter. Cool. Be kinda awkward if they ever have to arrest him…

When A Great Relationship Ends

Yeah, I don’t normally go all in on my personal life like this but writing is always a way to vent out feelings. And perhaps there’s a good message in here too. Recently, I have come to terms with the end of what used to be a fantastic relationship. As you may know, I have quite a few relationships where people are sisters to me. I guess I lost a sister.

Most of us have that relationship where you’re really close. You talk about everything and anything. The most serious and the most silly. By the way, this wasn’t a romantic relationship. She’s a family member. Anyway, we had great times and memories. But, over time, we drifted.

Once you have to actually schedule a time just to talk to someone, the relationship isn’t as strong as you’d like.

Yeah, I’ll be honest, and I say this even though I may seem like I’m not being truthful, but I feel like she didn’t do enough to keep things together for us. It takes two; I get it. But, I still feel like I gave it my all while she gave it only 50%. And, if she did give 100%, and it still wasn’t working, then the relationship still has to end. Either way, this conclusion seemed inevitable.

It seemed like this was destined to happen for the past two years. And yet, we still tried. But it was like trying to resuscitate a dead person. At some point, ya gotta call it. Pull the plug, bro. That’s what I did a few days ago. I finally said it’s over and there’s no going back.

Sheesh, this sounds like a breakup.
