I don’t mean to brag but…DALANEL is pretty awesome

You don’t hear this enough from me but…it’s time to get a little cocky.

This blog…this blog is pretty darn awesome. Sexy. Sophisticated. Wonderful.

I’ve put in a lot of work to make this happen. And it’s paying off. I get more and more comments about how “nice” this blog is. I know. I’ve been known. Word of mouth? I don’t know. I do know that more and more viewers are appearing. More and more followers are walking in club DALANEL.

I’ve established a team of bloggers here. I’ve set the tone of posts. Monday Motivation. It’s my way to encourage you and even me. Dante’s Opinion? Maybe a little self centered, although my opinions are on interesting topics for the most part.

Wednesday Word. It’s turning into my darling feature. It’s seen some nice success in the “like” department and Wednesday has been my most successful day on the blog for months now. Thank God.

Retro Dante’s Opinion: Cure? No.

Dante’s Opinion takes the questions of life and I add my spin. However, when the blog was known as Dante’s Opinion, there was a little something more personal about the questions I answered. For one thing, I asked myself the questions instead of going around looking for questions.

My tone of writing was different back then. Before I dive in, I should tell you what this post is about. I don’t think that cures for illnesses and diseases are a priority. Cancer? No. HIV? Nah. If you’re sensitive to this, then turn back because I’m going to share my thoughts…my opinion.

I am going to keep this to just the medical aspect. But, you can find this argument in many places.

Anyway, why don’t I think there’s no cure on the way any time soon?

Pill. Take a pill. And another. Get some treatment and come back in a month or two.

Dante’s Opinion: Am I a jerk, bully or just jealous?

It’s the last time we’ll see Dante’s Opinion on Tuesday. Let us begin with this question from Hello:

Am I a jerk, bully or just jealous? I’ve been acting like a real dick this past month. So I have been skating for almost 10 years so I am naturally good at it. Everytime I see a guys bring their girls to the skatepark I always show off and make them feel inferior to me in front of their girl.it gets to the point where they can take it no more and they smoothly leave. in my head i’m like “yeah *****, whats up now?” I also like doing it when girls come watch people skate. I pretend I suck at skating for a couple minutes so the other guys get a little confidence boost and BAM hit em with a shock ‘n awe. I start busting out some gnarly tricks and they get mad.

I think I do this out of anger and jealousy because I’m an ugly guy. I know this because I never had a girlfriend, in High School girls never hugged me, but hugged my friends 😦 and I have always been called ugly for no damn reason I even took 2 years off school after I graduated HS because of how insecure I was. I have always been nice and fair to others.

I guess this is what its like to be a bully. to be one of them.

Alright, I don’t think you’re a bully. You’re probably jealous and so you’re acting like a jerk. Why? Because, like you said, you’re not the first person ladies consider on their “how hot is he” scale or something. I feel you. It’s like you’re lashing out to those people that called you ugly. Just because you’re ugly in their eyes doesn’t mean you’re useless or have no value. And your skating aims to do this. I know why you’re doing this. I feel like the right thing to say is to not do this, but, I would probably do it if I were you too.

Things You Might Have Not Known About DALANEL

This is not another “Things you didn’t know about me” post. No, this is about the blog. I’m willing to bet there’s some things that you didn’t know about this blog in the past or currently. Let’s begin.

DALANEL has only one deleted post

That’s right. And by deleted, I mean, it was published and eventually deleted. This was way back during the Dante’s Opinion days. The feedback I got for it was so overwhelmingly bad, that I had to knock it out. Other than that, I stick by my posts; good and bad.

The pages on DALANEL spell my name

Ah, the top five pages you see on DALANEL? When you hit the page, the first letter of each one will spell out my name. So, What Is DALANEL?’s first word starts with “D”, Who’s Dante starts with “A” and so on. Just a little game I played with myself.

Not every one on Team DALANEL is human

This one is kinda creepy. But, one of the members here on the blog is a best friend of mine. And, well, he’s a stuffed animal. Yes, it’s Daniel (but, his pic could’ve gave you a hint). This will probably be the only time I mention this fact.

DALANEL was going to be the ultimate Dante blog.

DALANEL almost became the center of my blogging universe. Besides the positive stuff you see today, I was also going to be posting about sports and funny stuff. You even saw me try out the other stuff here at DALANEL before I quit and decided to solely focus on positive blogging.

Monday Motivation: Control your temper

Oh, this one is something else. If you’re one that tends to lose your cool, even in the smallest way, today is your day to control yourself. You could even make it a week long project.

Grab yourself a stress reliever and squeeze the life out of that thing. When your boss or co-worker does that thing he does, inhale, and keep your cool. Students, focus on the books.

Even if you simply stub your toe on the chair that wasn’t there, let’s just try to push through it. I know I’ve spent a good two minutes yelling at the leg of my bed for getting in my way. I know; I’m talking to myself in this post.

We’re gonna get through this. I’ve never had a temper problem…although I have been told I can get a little out of hand when it comes to my sisters’ safety. I’ll keep my cool.

This Week At DALANEL: Birthday Celebration!

DALANEL’s birthday is this week! To be clear, I mean the blog; not me, Dante. On February 14th, this blog turns three years old. It’s walking on sunshine! Jesus can handle the water.

Now, this week is full of fun. I will be taking a look at DALANEL and doing some reflecting. We’re going to laugh, we’re gonna cry (probably from the laughter) and we’ll take a trip down memory lane. We’ll do the featured posts of the past as well. So, DALANEL Review, How Was Your Week, and Daily Good Stuff will all come back to say hello.

So, the featured posts will post as usual. As for the three new guys, they will post as I used to post them. So, DALANEL Review will appear on Thursday. How Was Your Week will pop up on Friday. Daily Good Stuff? Well, I’m not doing each day of the week. I’ll plop that post on Wednesday.

But wait! There’s more! There’s a category on the blog called “Before DALANEL”. Those posts are from the days when this blog was known as Dante’s Opinion. And yes, we have a featured post that keeps that idea alive. However, I will be doing a retro Dante’s Opinion post. Mhm, so check out that category to get an idea of the voice I used in those posts because it’s different than DALANEL’s voice. And wait until you hear about what I’ll be talking about.

I couldn’t confirm anybody from Team DALANEL contributing for the week. If they post, I’ll be surprised. I was hoping they would because they are a part of this blog. But, oh well.

Is there a hidden surprise waiting at the end of the week? Well, each of the posts this week will hint at some sort of announcement. So, you’re gonna have to read up. And no, I won’t be linking back. So, if I say “as you know” and you don’t know, you better find out!

Yes, this week is aiming to celebrate where I came from while looking on to the future. Isn’t that what a birthday celebration is about?
