And yet, we tend to associate these things as hand in hand. True, having the desire AND ability for something is ideal, but it doesn’t always happen that way.

I have the ability to sing. I have a nice gift. I’m not going to blow you away, but I can hold a tune. However, I don’t have a desire to sing in choirs or talent shows or American Idol or something. That’s not something I aspire to be; a singer.

Monday Motivation: Stand up for yourself

Today, I want you to stand up for yourself.

Who else will?

You have to stand up for your family. Your beliefs. Your values. You.

Be proud of yourself and don’t let others make little of who you are. Loud and proud, baby. There’s only going to be one of you, so you might as well aim to make a stamp in your time. You have gifts and talents and characteristics that make you freakin’ awesome. So, take advantage of that.

Stand up for yourself. Do it.
