15 Things We’re Better Off Not Doing, Even Though We Want To

Ah, wishful thinking. There are a couple of scenarios at least where I know what I want to do, but, for some reason or another, I can’t bring myself to doing it. We all have em. Perhaps, temptations? In a perfect world of no consequences, we’d probably do some of these things in a heart beat. Let’s go through the list and try not to break your neck as you nod in agreement with what you see.

  • Punch the lazy/dumb coworker in the face
  • Make a run for it on field/court/ice at sporting event.
  • Rob a bank because you’re broke
  • Never sleep
  • PARTY ALL NIGHT, BABY. YEAH!!!
  • Sleep all the time (or at least stay in bed)
  • Watch Tyler Perry movies and shows
  • Please everyone
  • Not study for the big test
  • Not forgive
  • Scratch any part of our body. In public.
  • Being honest (if the answer is “yes” to “does this dress make me look fat?”)
  • Protect our loved ones from certain experiences
  • Drink and eat anything
  • Tell Dante just how awesome he is

I’m running out of lists.

Daily Good News 7

Viewing has really died down from the high levels last week. A little disappointing for me. Still, I have to keep pressing on, right? We’ll get back there.

I’m going to continue the DGN experiment until Sunday, the Daily Good Stuff will return.

DALANEL Failed Experiments

At times, when you’re blogging and trying to figure out what’s going on and what works are doesn’t, you’ll stumble upon a few…not so good ideas. This list is four features that, I tried, but never got it up and running for one reason or another.

How Was Your Week?

Back when I made the mistake of trying to make this blog a comment driven blog, I had “How Was Your Week?” where I asked how your week went. The viewing was so bad for the four posts I did, not to mentioned no one responded, made this a failure in my eyes. Plus, I tried to talk about my week and that brings me back my growing belief that people don’t care to read about my life story. Would I ever bring it back? Hahahaha

Dante and Basketball

As soon as I announced that I would do this, I ended up reviving my sports blog. And so, this sports feature moved there. That’s pretty much why I stopped doing it here.

Dante’s Opinion: Was I right in just doing what the principle said?

First question is by Kayla (I’ve always liked that name)

Okay I’m 19 and work as a janitor for a high school. Anyway I feel kind of bad I had to do this yesterday. There were some students from a college coming to talk for an assembly today. Anyway they were there from about 9:30 and were leaving at around 12:30.

At around 11:30 we had to lock the restrooms do to some water problems. The students were allowed to use the nurses bathroom but there were no other restrooms for the college students who had come to the school. Now here’s where the problem comes in.

Just after locking one of the restrooms one of the college girls ( I knew it was one of the college girls because she was wearing khakis and a white blouse and I mistook her for a teacher at first, she obviously wasn’t a student ) who came to the school that day came around the corner and was walking towards the bathroom. She obviously had to go so I told her to use the nurses, however she said she needed to talk for the assembly soon and couldn’t walk across the school. So she went back to the assembly.

Anyway when they were leaving at 12:30 the girl and two of her friends who were from the college asked me to unlock a restroom so they could all go but I couldn’t because I didn’t want to get in trouble. The thing is I felt really bad because I heard the woman say to her friend “I’m gonna end up going in my pants soon” as they were walking out the door.

I just feel bad about this. They come from a college to help give some advice to students and this is the treatment they get. Was I right in just doing what the principle said and keeping the bathrooms locked? The worst part is we opened them about 15 minutes after they left as the water was fixed by then!

Hey, there was a problem in the bathroom. Your hands were tied. I would feel bad, but, there was nothing you could do.

This question is from Alvina Castro Depp.

Daily Good News 6

As I said, November is the month of change. In this month, I’m experimenting with things. Not drugs. Not anymore. No, I’m working on this blog. I’m going to skip Daily Good Stuff for a few days and give Daily Good News the keys as the only morning post. I wanna see how the blog performs like this. I don’t know how long this will last but, DGS will return at some point.

And so, let’s get through today’s good news and such.

Things to Expect If You Follow DALANEL

So, recently, DALANEL reached 800 followers. I’m glad about it. I’m a man that likes to know what he’s getting himself into before he commits. I like to know the history and vision behind causes to see if I want to be a part of that. That’s why I have so many pages in this blog with a lot of information as to what this blog is about and why I started it and who I am. The idea is that, visiting for the first time, you read a couple of pages and then follow. Make an informed follow.

This list is a sort of collection of the info on various pages. These things are what you can expect if you decide to follow me. I am prepared to lose a couple (or many) followers after they get a hold of this. That’s okay.

You’ll be dealing with a Christian

First thing’s first. You need to understand that, the values of this blog are in sync with Christian principles. certain things will be interpreted in a Christian sense. There will be Bible verses and sermons. God is a huge part of why this blog exists. So, if you don’t believe in the Christian concept, turn back. Don’t worry, I won’t shove things down your throat. I welcome all people in all walks of life. No problem there. I’m mentioning this for you and your sake of knowledge. I am fully aware people will not follow me because I am a Christian. That’s fine with me.
