DALANEL Review: Windows Phone 8 Nokia Lumia 920

This is the first post of DALANEL Review, which reviews various products and stuff. Today, I’ll be talking about my Windows Phone. This is not a standard review like you see on other sites. I’ll talk about what I like about it and what could be better. I am not receiving any endorsement for my comments.

When I was due for an upgrade, I had choices of the iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy 4, and Windows Phone 8. I say that to say that I could’ve gotten the latest in any of the top phones. Now, to be specific, I have the Nokia Lumia 920 so I can only speak from this point of view. Other versions most likely will have the same stuff but there’s some differences too. So why Windows?

Customization

First off, the ability to customize the phone to my liking. Unlike a lot of other phones, WP8 lets you take control of the apps you see and notifications you get. Essentially, the many FREE ringtones, color schemes, and app preferences will create a phone like no other. It’s to the point where you can lay your WP8 next to 100 other WP8’s and you’ll be able to tell which one is yours just my looking at the home screen.

Daily Good Stuff 73

Alright looking good, looking good. We’re at day 73 and I’m actually a little surprised. Today we’ll get into more stuff since I’ll be adding news updates as well. Let’s do with the joke:

A blonde, out of money and down on her luck after buying air at a real bargain, needed money desperately. To raise cash, she decided to kidnap a child and hold him for ransom.

She went to the local playground, grabbed a kid randomly, took her behind a building, and told her, “I’ve kidnapped you.”

She then wrote a big note saying, “I’ve kidnapped your kid. Tomorrow morning, put $10,000 in a paper bag and leave it under the apple tree next to the slides on the south side of the playground. Signed, A blonde.”

The blonde then pinned the note to the kid’s shirt and sent him home to show it to his parents. The next morning the blonde checked, and sure enough, a paper bag was sitting beneath the apple tree. The blonde looked in the bag and found the $10,000 with a note that said, “How could you do this to a fellow blonde?”

Cruel world we live in. Alright on to the video:

New DALANEL Milestone Reached

On April 18th, 2013 DALANEL reached a high on viewers in a day. Well, I am excited to announce that on May 8th, 2013, we reached an even higher viewership. I just want to say thank you.

I put the hits on the site and out in the open because I want you to see how this site is doing. I’m not here to try an lie to you about what’s going on. And I like to share the site’s goals and accomplishments with you all because it couldn’t happen without you anyway. And, as you can see, I don’t have a lot of hits. But I’m not complaining. It’s cool with me. I’m working hard and it’s paying off nice and easy.

It’s interesting because looking at the site stats, the best month ever for the site was May 2011. And here we are, two years later, and May once again is a month of milestone. But hey, just last month became the 2nd best month for the site. June 2011 is currently the 3rd best month. 2012 wasn’t a very good year for me, at least until the relaunch of the site as DALANEL (formerly known as Dante’s Opinion) in August 2012. I have more viewers as DALANEL than as Dante’s Opinion so the relaunch helped me out there.

Daily Good Stuff 55

Have you checked out my intro video to my Breaking Down the Book series? For the next few days I’ll probably shove it down your throat whenever I can so bare with me because I do understand some would not be interested and that’s fine. I do think it would be a great benefit for you though but that’s my opinion.

So let’s get this lifted with the latest news.

A woman was being stalked on Facebook by herself. Okay let me say it like this: She created a profile of her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend and tried to frame her for it. Eventually crazy lady got caught. Man, the places people will go. The things we’ll do.

A boy battling cancer got to play with his favorite soccer team thanks to Make A Wish Foundation. Boy, I’d like to play with the Philadelphia 76ers any time. Oh well, I’m not dying or anything so too bad for me. Still, must have been cool for the kid.

Here’s some images now, first a fantastic soccer play:

Follow DALANEL On Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and More!

I give many ways to follow my blog, DALANEL. I am on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, and just recently, Tumblr. The reason why I joined Tumblr was basically the sharing option for WordPress. So I figured, why not?

In the next few days, I’ll be making some tweaks to my pages because of some updating that I need to do. If I combine my following from Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Tumblr(but it’s at zero), and direct subscribers of the blog, it comes to  542. Not bad at all. There are probably some copies in there but I’ll take it!

Daily Good Stuff 22: Twitter Style

Today is themed with Twitter stuff. Let’s start off with a story that is way too similar to mine. In a recent story from The Onion has a man with 10,000 tweets but only 15 followers. If you’re not familiar with Twitter, having 10k tweets means you’ve been tweeting for a while obviously.

The story is here.

Let’s get an image:

Another story of my life. That’s when you start making changes from “are” to “r”. I hate that. I have a list here of some funny tweets, mostly by celebrities. Check that out. And now for some jokes that may make you hate me forever:
