Dante’s Opinion: Are There People Who Aren’t Afraid of Anything?

Before we get to the question, I would like to welcome you to the first post of Dante’s Opinion. Just a quick review of what it is in case you don’t know: Dante’s Opinion is where I search the internet for questions that people ask on sites like Yahoo! Answers and answer them here. Today, we’ll kick off the feature with a couple of questions.

The first one is asked my Matt:

I know that there are people who aren’t afraid of the dark, horror movies, and death, but are there those who aren’t afraid of anything? Like some kind of chemical thing in their brain that makes it so that fear just doesn’t register? I understand that fear is a survival instinct that’s part of your fight-or-flight instinct, but are there people who just don’t get scared or don’t panic at all?

I want to say no. I don’t think such a person exists in a normal state. Perhaps if the person were a sociopath. But, even then I don’t think so. For that person, certain emotions may not register. But, I think fear is just a part of life. At least, this life here on Earth. I think I can vary as well. Some people may get scared but just have great composure. Like, a fire fighter. He’s probably a little scared for his life but he’s still able to keep it together to fight the fire. So yeah, I think there’s a little bit of fear in everybody.

Our next question is by Imperial Rex:

Would a sentient alien (extraterrestrial) be able to accept Christianity as their religion?

Oh wow. First answer is yes. I’ll tell you why. This only makes sense if you believe that God is all powerful and created the universe. Now, in all of God’s power and glory, I believe that there may be other life forms on other planets. And, these aliens probably have experienced Jesus in a way. I could believe that. However, upon more consideration, there is one thing about humans: We’re made if God’s image. So, are there other creations on other planets that are also made in God’s image? This simple question that Rex asked can go so far but I’ll sum it up here:

It’s all up to God. If God decided that Earth wasn’t the only place where you can be saved…or I should say, if He feels like Humans are not the only people that can be saved, then so be it. We’ll probably never really know until we meet extraterrestrials and see what they live by. Really good question and I might dedicate an entire post to this.

So that’s it. That’s Dante’s Opinion. If you have questions you want me to tackle, go to my Ask Dante page and we’ll go from there. As for the answers I provided here,

They’re just my opinion!

You Will Be Healed

A quick word for you, children of God: You will be healed. At some point, you receive the healing that God has promised.

Welp, the key is where.

On earth, we pray for healing for various diseases. And God heals. Sometimes we see people laying hands on others and they are healed. Just a few months ago, there was a healing pastor that came to visit and laid hands on many. Folks using the canes and wheel chairs were dancing. Blind could see. Cancer died. I already mentioned how I got my supernatural healing. I’m a believer.

But, sometimes when we pray for healing and the person dies anyway, we wonder why God didn’t heal that person.

And that’s what the post is about.

As a child of God, we are indeed promised healing. Jesus died for all sickness and disease. But she still died. Guess what? Because she accepted Jesus into her life, she’s going to heaven where she will be completely healed. When Jesus comes back, everybody will receive a new body. A body that will have no pain. No sickness.

The message here is that you will be healed, no matter what happens. In the end, you will be healed. It hurts now. It can be hard to understand now. But this is the truth: We will be healed.

That’s all I got for you but it’s enough. Children of God will be healed.

The Power of the Tongue

When we realize that our own words are the ultimate weapon, we’ll be able to do great things. Take God for instance. He created the world by speaking it into existence. Yes, if you don’t know, the universe was made, not by hand, but by the tongue. That’s how great God is. That’s how powerful He is.

And He made us in the same way. Yes, we are made in His own image. People can misunderstand this. It is not our physical beings that are in God’s image. It’s our spirits. I’m not going to get into that because that’s not the theme of this post. Anyway, we have to realize that if we say something enough, we can speak into existence. (verse)

And so that saying “watch what you say” and other warnings about what we say are really true. So now what?

Daily Good Stuff 53: Church

Another day, another week. I’m feeling churchy so let’s make it a church theme. Let’s look at a couple of images to get it started. And of course, keep in mind that I won’t be preaching to you on the D-L so don’t worry about that. That’s what my Breaking Down the Book series is for. Anyway:

Aw now who did that!? And I HATE McDonald’s (there goes any chance for sponsorship). But check this guy out:

Daily Good Stuff

Hello all! Today, some would say it’s Easter. For me, it’s called Resurrection Sunday. The day our Lord and Savior rose from the dead 3 days after death. Now be cool, this isn’t a Bible lesson. I just wanted to say that this is indeed a “good stuff” for me as well as for every one else on this planet. So, the good stuff today will be Easter themed. Let’s get into it with a joke:

A man was blissfully driving along the highway, when he saw the Easter Bunny hopping across the middle of the road. He swerved to avoid hitting the Bunny, but unfortunately the rabbit jumped in front of his car and was hit. The basket of eggs went flying all over the place.

The driver, being a sensitive man as well as an animal lover, pulled over to the side of the road, and got out to see what had become of the Bunny carrying the basket. Much to his dismay, the colorful Bunny was dead. The driver felt guilty and began to cry.

A woman driving down the same highway saw the man crying on the side of the road and pulled over. She stepped out of her car and asked the man what was wrong. “I feel terrible,” he explained, “I accidentally hit the Easter Bunny and killed it. There may not be an Easter because of me. What should I do?”

The woman told the man not to worry. She knew exactly what to do. She went to her car trunk, and pulled out a spray can. She walked over to the limp, dead Bunny, and sprayed the entire contents of the can onto the little furry animal. Miraculously the Easter Bunny came to back life, jumped up, picked up the spilled eggs and candy, waved its paw at the two humans and hopped on down the road. 50 yards away the Easter Bunny stopped, turned around, waved and hopped on down the road another 50 yards, turned, waved, hopped another 50 yards and waved again!

The man was astonished. He said to the woman: “What in heaven’s name is in your spray can? What was it that you sprayed on the Easter Bunny?”

The woman turned the can around so that the man could read the label. It said: “Hair spray. Restores life to dead hair. Adds permanent wave.”

Ha! Gotta love it. And what about a nice quote?
