Weekly Instagram Features

I’m getting comfortable with my posting here on Dante’s Optimism. I do want to get Instagram a little more active.

When I publish something here, it reaches to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, LinkedIn, and Google+. Not IG. However, my IG account is connected to my Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.

All of that is said to let you know that I plan to post twice a week on IG. For Wednesday, a scripture or some other inspirational quote. Yes, it will be named after a featured post here on the site: Wednesday Word.

For Friday, something funny will appear. Again, named after a featured post on Dante’s Optimism: Funny Friday…or Friday Funny. Yeah, Friday Funny.

Like I said, IG is linked to Twitter, FB, and Tumblr. So, if you follow me there, you really don’t have to follow me on IG. If you’re only on IG, then go ahead and follow me @dantewrites.

I will be a blogger of images, videos, and writing. Well, that’s the plan anyway. I am very strict on who I follow on Instagram so, no promises on if I’ll follow you back.

Why my WordPress followers are my favorite

Oh Lord, what did I do!? I don’t look at my followings from various places as my kids. I do have a favorite following.

Huh, I guess I do look at you all as my kids. I know for a fact my baby sister is the favorite of the three of us. My parents deny it; but it’s true.

I guess my favorite kid is WordPress. Ya know, when I first joined WP and was trying to understand terminology, I came across publicize. You could connect your social media accounts to the blog. Apparently, the blog used at least the numbers from Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook as well as the blog itself as to give one number: You following. At least, that’s how I figured it out. When I put in the “Follow Blog” widget, when I check the little box to show the number of followers, I noticed it was bigger than the blog’s actual following. After doing some math, that’s how I came to my conclusion. I just wonder why G+, LinkedIn, and Path aren’t a part of it. But, whenever I talk about my following, I mention each of those areas in publicize.

Page Updates: Code of Conduct, What Is DALANEL?

images blog update

I made a slight update to my Code of Conduct page. It’s under the What Is DALANEL page. You need to be familiar with it if you intend on commenting on posts here at DALANEL. I’m not even kidding because if you get yourself banned, the challenge of “I didn’t know” will NOT fly by me. I’m a laid back type of guy but I will not tolerate foolishness. Here’s a bullet list found of the page of what I just won’t do:

  • Name calling
  • Disrespecting others’ beliefs and comments
  • Commenting only to promote your site/business
  • Keep the language clean. No cussing (I am open about this and using this language will not automatically result in trouble; keep it to a minimum though; I want this site to be kid friendly)

That’s right. Follow this and you live.

Next, What Is DALANEL? That page got a major new look. Gone is the video and my life story. As I said, my personal life will be limited. The page now contains what this blog is about (duh) on a much more simpler scale. It also aims to be better related or complementary to the sub pages under it too.

Head blogger of DALANEL found to be insane

Authorities in Willingboro, N.J. found head blogger of the wildly mediocre blog, DALANEL, in a fetal position crying about the Philadelphia 76ers’ latest loss.

When his mother settled him down, Dante, as he was named shortly after birth, was mumbling about how his girlfriend left him. When authorities realized that Dante’s girlfriend was, in fact, a stuffed animal, they locked his room down.

“Yeah, I thought it would be some really ugly babe”, said Captain Maxwell Warner, who had interviewed the delirious Dante. “He’s certainly not capable of getting even a decent looking gal, in my professional pinion. God, knows when he showed me the wallet sized picture of a stuffed animal in a dress, I done nearly lost my freaking mind! Knowing guys his age, he probably wants to take over the world, or something, so we locked him down.”

Reporters questioned Dante’s father for answers.

“Heck if I know what he does in his bedroom. He’s a 22 year old virgin. I’m surprised the animal is still soft.”

Psychologists searched Dante’s room for answers to his apparent mental breakdown.
