Yes, it’s one of the ten commandments. Don’t steal. And yet, we as a people, struggle with this. Watch the video:
Good stuff in there. My thoughts:
Stealing is the result of something. In order for us to avoid stealing, we need to understand why we steal. We steal because we want. And, in most cases, this want takes the form of greed. Or lust. Or whatever type of desire.
So, if we can manage those types of emotions, we are less likely to steal. You don’t take the risk of stealing if you really didn’t want it.
Of course, some people steal because they can. They may steal simply because they are that controlled by the devil’s voice. Yes, the devil cannot make you do anything. But, he’s a smooth talker.
So, as the end of the video calls for, let’s give.

The sad fact is that most Christians cannot even remember the Ten Commandments in any order or form. We need to get back to basics and teach them to our children. Here is an easy way to start. http://textsincontext.wordpress.com/2012/09/06/teaching-children-the-ten-commandments/

Yes, you’re so right. And a lot of churches don’t cover them that much. It seems like part of it is because they’re so “basic” or “easy” that it’s almost assumed that Christians just know.
