Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. James 3:10

Daily Word: Dodinsky, Isaiah 42:8

Wednesday Word: Stand for the Lord

It’s been a while since I got a Wednesday Word up in here, but here we go.

Yeah, he nailed it. So many of today’s Christians are not as bold as we probably should be. As soon as we decide to stop caring about what others think of us, we will reach that bold standard. Just as God was calling Joshua to be courageous, today, we need to be courageous. Cast out fear.

Monday Motivation: Make time for yourself

Work.

School.

Family.

Church.

So many things can pull you from one place to the other.

You.

What about you? Isn’t it time to make time for you?

We all need some downtime, if only for an hour or two. I’m not talking about sleep. I’m talking about a time where it’s just you. Read a book. If you’re like me, write one. Watch a movie. Shoot, take a shower. I don’t care what you do.

As long as you do it for you.

Relax. Why does Monday have to be so evil? Maybe once a day do something for you. Go hide if you have to. Take a trip to the library; it’s quiet there.

It might be time to say “no” to other and/or future commitments. It might be time to clear the schedule a bit.

Hey, life goes on and doesn’t give a hoot about your feelings. Life can be a real jerk sometimes. It’ll try to drag you to a point where you feel like you’re going insane.

So, take a step back. For you. And with you in a better place, I’m guessing that it’ll have a positive effect on the people around you.
