Wednesday Word: Made in God’s image

Here’s the video:

You know, I don’t have to talk about much.

I do want to go into how we are made in God’s image. The young lady didn’t hit on it.

It all starts with Adam. The Trinity was discussing how they wanted a creation to be in their image and likeness. The world has an interpretation of this. We look at the physical. But, God is not physical. He is not flesh. Yes, Jesus eventually came as God in the flesh. But, obviously, people had been around for a long time.

If you want to know how we are made in God’s image, we have to look at God’s first man. He created Adam out of dust, which always blows my freakin’ mind. Anyway, Adam was not alive until one particular action.

It’s too late

Well, I’ve got some news for ya. When I was six…maybe seven years old, I accepted Jesus into my life. It was a simpler time. It was a curious time.

Now, here I am, 22 years old, and have experienced many things in my life, specifically my spiritual life.

I’m here to tell you…it’s too late.

See, back when I first got saved, you could’ver told me bad things about God, and I might’ve believed you. But now? It’s too late.

It’s too late to tell me that God isn’t real. It’s too late to tell me God doesn’t love His children. It’s too late to say that God doesn’t speak to His own.

It’s too late.

Just letting you know.

Good Friday 5: It’s back!

If you were here when DALANEL first launched, you may remember Good Friday. Good Friday was a weekly post where I shared good news from around the web. Well, it makes sense to bring it back, considering what this blog’s mission is.

So, that leaves us with Monday Motivation, Wednesday Word, and Good Friday as the flagship posts for this blog. We also have Follower Friday.

Okay, so first news is a little something called “Prank It Forward”. In this case, one waitress received four tips while at work. This included $1,000, tickets to Hawaii, a new “dream job” and a new freaking car.

So, who was this young lady? Well, her name is Chelsea Roff and she’s spent a great deal of her time overcoming an eating disorder and then helping others by being a volunteer yoga instructor. She took yoga classes herself to help with her disorder.

Next is something interesting. Have you heard of the “Street Store“?

Wednesday Word: Limitless love

Wednesday Word is where I take a short sermon (typically no more than 10 minutes long) and post it here. Then, I add some commentary.

Here’s the video:

Limitless love.

That’s the beauty of God. He’s a perfect God. And yet, He does these things for imperfect people like you, me, and everybody else. Why? Shouldn’t God raise His own standard?

Monday Motivation: Get back to work

This post may be similar to the finish your project post I did a couple of weeks ago. Also, this post is a slap in my face.

I’ve been dealing with a Good Friday play at my church. My situation is deteriorating rapidly and it’s not going to improve until the day has passed. One of my issues is that all of this work for this play has taken my attention away from my blogs.

That’s a serious problem.

Monday Motivation: Follow your passion

What do you love? I mean, this is something you do all of the time, or think about all of the time. The dreams you have during the day. Right now, it may be a hobby. For others, it’s how they make a living.

You. I. Need to follow our passion.

What is your passion? Singing? Writing? Encouraging others? Family? Sports? Movies?

Do what makes you happy. Get a job in the field of your passion. Getting paid to do what you love is crazy awesome. For me, and I’ll be real here, if things get too much like a chore, the joy of doing things…your passion for it, can fade.
