New Feature: Follower Friday

Hi everybody! So, I’m trying out this new featured post. It’s called Follower Friday. Basically, this is the day for me to honor my followers. I appreciate you all and I’m glad you’re enjoying this blog. I’ve got a nice team of bloggers here as well.

So, what is Follower Friday?

See, FF is not a copy cat of Twitter’s “Follow Friday”. There, somebody (or you) will tell all of their followers to follow accounts on Twitter. FF on DALANEL is different. Here, my goal is to showcase my followers. Maybe it is the same in a way because by showing off my followers, you could end up liking what you see and follow them. Still, I’m just showing off my followers’ content.

But how?

Monday Motivation: Eat a little healthier

Aw shucks! We could use a healthy meal.

Eat something healthy today. I mean really make an effort to learn the nutritional value of what you’re eating.

Screw the diet. It really is a lifestyle change. Okay, so I have mentioned in the past how the sooner I get to heaven, the better. However, I’m sure there are a lot of you people that would love to be 100 and strong. Eating right, right now, is the best way to go.

*decides against apple a day keeps the doctor away joke that would be so bad WordPress would just shut DALANEL down forever*

I can’t tell you what to do. Only you know if you really shouldn’t be eating what you normally eat. Remember this though: All things in moderation.

Peace…of cake…

Oh darn, a bad joke!

Daniel’s Opinion: Do you think the male sex drive will slow down?

Yo, what’s good? It’s ya boy, Danny, taking over the opinion post for this week. And a couple of things before we get started. For one, Dante’s opinion is useless. Trust me. You’ll love my thoughts. Second, Dallas T may have the most liked opinion piece on the blog; but that’s about to change.

Yeah, it’s on.

This question is from JustSaying2000:

When will robots finally replace humans?

I see it more and more, i go to factory’s and i see robots doing the jobs that humans once did! For example go to any grocery store and you will see automatic cash register’s instead of a human cashier, although there is still one human monitering the machines so they do not malfunction. I used to work at factory’s and i ask about the machines that they run, and the older senior’s in their 40’s and up tell me how there used to be 60 people running a line and now there’s like 12 to 20 max on a good day sense the machines do the jobs that workers once did, the packaging and wrapping of products, even in restaurants the dishwasers are being more and more replaced by automatic dishwashers. You don’t even need to go to the bank and talk to someone about a withdraw since there are atm’s. It’s almost scary how fast technology is replacing humanity, the more we advance the less we need some TYPE of humans. I guess you could say in the future only a few select human’s will be able to survive in this technological world, we wont need this so called worker bee’s like in nature, let’s face it some humans are just grunts or worker bee’s in the future their mundayne work will be replacable by robots that will do it for little to no cost and more effective. When will we expect such an obvious transformation to take place?

Ya know what? I’m not sure. Some could argue that there will always be people around to monitor the robots. I’m not convinced. I bet one day, robots will eliminate humans. Humans are going to make the robots too sophisticated and then it’s all over. I recently read somewhere that there’s some work going into a robot that could deliver pizza. Right to your front door. F that.

When? I don’t know. I don’t think in my lifetime though and I’m pretty young.

Wednesday Word: God is with you

Okay, it’s time for anther Wednesday Word. Let’s get started with this video:

Good stuff, Adrianna. Alright, so she talked about how, no matter what, God is with us.

One way to look at it is that it’s the Holy Spirit. For Christians, when we say yes to Jesus, His spirit comes to live in us. So, He’s with us wherever we go. Like she said, even in our darkest, loneliest hour, God is right there.

She nailed it. Just remember that not only is God with you, but He’s in you.

Monday Motivation: Give Something

Today, we’re going to attempt to give something. It can be a kind word. It could be money. A hug. Give something that you wouldn’t mind receiving.

That saying “What goes around, comes around” was always corny to me. But, if it helps you give a little more, then use it until you drop.

So go! Give something special. Not special. But, you better mean it.

Those are the rules.

How the worst moment of my life made me a better person: part 3

This is it. The final part. If you haven’t read the other parts, go ahead and do it.

I’ll be picking up where I left off.

So, God wanted me to be Joy. I was joy. My family needed joy in these times of sorrow.

I took on the challenge. I changed my personality. I became a little more social. Before, when people asked me “How are you?” I would say “Fine” and keep walking. Yeah. Now, “How are you?” “Fine, how are you?” “I’m doing well; thanks for asking”. Of course, I actually have started to do that less because there are too many moments where my question goes completely unanswered. I know. And then, I’m left hanging like somebody left high on a high five.

Anyway, I worked on my comedy. During the events of the past couple of years, I had also started working at my church’s foodbank. I volunteered for other areas. I was active as a Boy Scout. I was at the “why is bad things happening to me? I’m going good things for others! What goes around comes around is a joke, plain and simple” phase. But, still, I kept pressing on. People who were less fortunate needed some joy. Again, I was that joy.
